This Role...

The role of Head of PR and Communities is to build brand fame, advocacy and meaningful equity in the UK through impactful, integrated & effective PR/community plans. To build and strengthen the YuMOVE brand in the UK and support our commercial goals. The role reports to the Communications Director, with a team of direct reports

What you need to deliver...

• Set out a winning PR, Community & Charity strategy based on brand mission, vision, goals and strategies

• Develop & lead the execution of an impactful & integrated PR, charity & community plan. Plan will be aligned to brand activity & commercial/seasonal events e.g. Black Friday & support new product launches.

• Oversee the creation & delivery of a series of PR events that create brand fame, as well as support and build the YuMOVE mission/cause

• Develop brand awareness and authority via impactful, regular PR news stories – working collaboratively with agency to deliver maximum earned media value

• Ensure PR has maximum SEO value and contributes to sales – working with DTC team.

• Support new product and category launches via strong PR plans.

• Lead on purpose driven owned & earned comms to support our ESG strategy

• Oversee the creation & implementation of the YuMOVE Organic Social Media & Influencer Strategy to tell the YuMOVE Brand Story across all organic Social Media platforms in the UK

• Oversee delivery of full UK events programme across consumer and internal events incl. Crufts that deliver commercial value through trial, sales and data capture mechanics - working to fuel the DTC funnel.

• Ensure we extract maximum value from any charity/brand partnerships.

• Provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team across PR, Events & Community to ensure the team feel motivated and engaged.

• Oversee day to day, week to week team performance, providing strong leadership, coaching and mentoring and developing team towards a performance first culture.

• Oversee strong agency relationships that produce outstanding work and provide strong value.

• Stay up to date with the latest industry thinking and trends to enrich plans.

• Build collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Responsible for efficient investment against key goals & tactics and accurate budget management within area

• Report & monitor on KPI's for campaigns/activity & use data and Insight to maximise effectiveness & report to senior management

What you need to succeed…

• Proven experience in a similar role.

• A growth mindset - ability to face challenges and adapt to changing business needs.

• The ability to define PR/Social strategy and tactics and envision the team(s) for successful implementation.

• Strong experience in PR , Social Media & integrated planning

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team behind clear goals/performance KPI’s.

• Strong internal and external influencing and collaboration skills.

• Very strong communication and presentation skills.

• Proven record of delivery through team and self.
